On this World Rewilding Day, I wanted to share an uplifting video from our rewilding partners Scotland: The Big Picture.
It shows the story of river restoration of the Beltie Burn, part of the River Dee catchment area which runs through our home county of Aberdeenshire. The straightened length of river has been restored to a more natural, meandering course with wetland habitats. This has not only created an environment for wildlife to populate, but will also help the wider environment through climate resilience. Creating an area for water storage will manage river flow both up and down stream, plus help with water pollution.
As a corporate partner of Scotland: The Big Picture, The Croft House helps support projects like this throughout Scotland.
1% of every sale both on our website and at in-person shops goes into our charitable fund which we give to both social and environmental charities. Thank you to all of our customers for helping us to help projects like these.
